M6 Friction Brake
The friction brake technology enables a wide range of aircraft from 4 to 50 tons to be arrested without any system adjustments and with low arresting loads. Furthermore, the M6 brake can be operated on runout distances from 800 to 1200 feet, without any modification, just by using its cam selection.
The M6 brake integrates all the latest technologies leading to high performance :
- Use of Airbus disc brake for a high absorption capacity, rapid cycle recovery operation.
- Vertical axis for a low profile and easy installation.
- Low maintenance.
Atlas Mobile System
Aerazur has developed a mobile version of the M6 arresting system by simple adjunction of a mobility kit : the Atlas Mobile Arresting System.
Rugged and completely self-contained, towable and easily transportable by road or air, its simple use allows all types of installation in minimum time.
Designed to respond to any operational need, the Atlas anchoring system includes all necessary tools for installation, whether on concrete foundations, runways or unprepared terrain.
Retractable Hook Cable Type H
This system ensures raising and retraction of the hook cable in less than 1,5 second. Mechanical interconnection provides for simultaneous activation of all support blocks. The H system has been designed for simplicity : a single hydraulic power source mechanically actuates the 14 or 20 cable supports, thus reducing maintenance and installation works.
Type 5 Stanchion System
The Type 5 Pneumatic Stanchion System provides the fastest raising time : only 1 to 1,5 second is required to raise and stabilize the net.
This very important safety factor also enables the use of automatic remote control. Its design reduces maintenance and facilitates installation work on unprepared or below grade.
Multiple Element Net
Aerazur, the inventor of the multiple element net, offers its various types from 24 to 40 elements covering all types of combat aircraft.
Chemical protected treatment allows for a doubling of net life.
Textile Modular Brake
The Aerazur Textile Modular Brake is a unique and original concept designed to be a flexible, efficient, and low cost emergency aircraft arresting system.
This new approach is energy absorption is based on textile tearing straps.
The Textile Brake, presented as man-portable modules, is easy to transport and can be quickly installed either
on concrete foundations or unprepared ground.
The modules are arranged in parallel and series of blocks to offer the required energy absorption capacity, thus
offering high braking efficiency and performance flexibility.
Unaffected by climatic conditions, the textile brake does not require any maintenance.
The Aerazur Textile Modular Brake, which can be used with a cable or a net, is the answer to safety
requirements for aircraft
operating from :
- airfields where engagement rate is low
- non permanently equipped airfields
- diversion airfields.
It is also suitable for use as a back up system and is the ideal solution for rapid deployment forces.
